There is people in our area seeing UFO's they even got it on video. It looks pretty good was on the news today. Maybe it will be on you tube and i'll post the link.

Well if aliens can reach us.. and only observe I believe I can think of a reason why they would do that. <br /><br />Say for example they are a benevolent scientific species (the assumption they'd always be hostile has merit but its not absolute). Perhaps they just want to monitor our development and watch us. No need to harm us so long as we pose no threat to them. If they have such superior technology then they need not fear us, especially at the moment as we can't even reach them!

actually using large halidrone colliders some particles have been found to display speeds faster than light so theoreticly if you could devise a device that could catch on to them and using them to propel you in a certain direction you could exceed the speed of light. OUCH my brain is working! make it stop! make it stop!!!!!!!! *hits self on the head* :D

The faster than light particle tests between CERN and Milan were proved to be faulty. They have no sufficient proof at current that they can travel faster than light.

I know of an experiment where Neutrinos where shot from Italy to CERN (or the other way around) an first measurements indicated a speed faster than light. The people could not believe their eyes and checked the equipment and found a loss cable (I believe it was a cable could have been something else to) which produced the wrong result.<br />Of other particles that are (apparently) faster than light I do not know.<br />[/quote]<br /><br /><br /><br />i recall it was a type of unknown quark it traveled faster than a light beam could get from one point to another when the data from each was compared. sadly i cant recall where i read it.

Anywhere in this huge universe there must be other intelligent life but the probability that aliens enter the Earth is really teeny-weeny. So we will probably not witness an extraterrestrial arrival. :-P

Aliens are real. There is life like us out there, they just can't fly yet.<br /><br />I believe this to be true. There are over 1 Billion planets out there. We came to be (More on this later - I'm religious too.) I don't think there are spaceships yet, although it's entirely possible. they could have spaceships. It could just be our imagination though. :) It's the most powerful thing any one of us have.

It could just be our imagination though. :) It's the most powerful thing any one of us have.<br />[/quote]<br /><br /><br />we havent been around more than a few thousands years in a technological sense. the earth and galaxy are billions of years old. countless civilations could have have come to rise and fall in that amount of time both here on earth and out in the great beyond of space. maybe they are there we just dont see them cause they have personal cloaking devices on themselves, their ships and maybe a huge one that hides their entire planet. lol

And why would they want to come to earth in the first place? I agree that if they are going to take the time to come here then they probably want something. If they think like us then the chances they want peace with an inferior race are probably very low. Maybe they would in a similar way to us then they could want to wipe us out (think about it, on the whole mankind seems to love killing things) and steal a precious resource from us. And the precious resource wouldn't necessarily be rare on earth, it could be water, which they don't have enough of on their planet, or iron, or coal. Or maybe there is another abundant resource they would want. Humans. They could want to capture and use us in the same way the whites did to the blacks before slavery was abolished. If they have the technolgy to get here then they could easily capture us all and force us into slavery<br /><br />Ofcourse, then there is the chance they do not think like us and they want to be friends, in which case we would be very lucky because we wouldn't get obliterated.<br /><br />Then there is a communication barrier, they could easily mistranslate something we say and want to kill us for it, or when we are trying to send a message mistake it for an attack, they probably wouldn't use the same communication system as us either. So it's probably a good thing we won't encounter aliens soon, even if we can communicate what would they think of us when they see our war in the middle east and read into our history? If you discovered aliens, and they were murdering each other senselessly what would you think?<br />
