As the title says<br /><br />I've worked with SMF forums before I remember it being fairly easy to do if you add a new forum as a link that just redirects to the main page. It's a jippoed way of doing things but it would create the reverse link to the game from the forums.

So far im not to happy with SMF. yah i placed a link in the description on the main system lords board but I guess i can make a board link too.
What ever you can do or dream you can always begin it because boldness has genius, power and magic in it

It's open source and has a large community behind it. Awesome designs and very easy to install.

SMF just has some bugs in it and sucks when i dont have the time to deal with it. The entire forum will have a huge facelift one day when time is put aside to do it.

phpBB3 is for lazy newbies who do not want to put an effort in their forums.<br />SMF is actually far easier to modify if you look at the basic code and database links.<br /><br />Guess it comes down to personal preference. At any rate, underestimating any of the board software around is pointless. :)<br /><br />I personally prefer Invision Power Boards, throw in a few pennies and you have a perfectly capable system and a great support system. The folly of the majority of teams and unfinished projects in Open Source is a source of annoyance for me, personally. ;)

Which is awesome!

I would rather pay and have something that will work, guaranteed, instead of having to beg for help from a bunch of people who know hardly anything more than I do.<br />Leave it to the professionals if you want something done right. ;)

I'd agree with you there, but I've always said "If you want something done right, do it yourself"<br /><br />But I guess in this case, paying for it would be the best option as Shadowing would be too busy working on the game to worry about the forum. :)<br /><br />Never tried IPB. I have to check this out! ;)

They're user friendly and simple to maintain and monitor.. where as a game can be high maintenance no matter what you do, as well as the community that exist's in both. So why not make something easier?
