What I love most about The Walking Dead is that it isn't a "zombie show." It's a show about people who are trying to survive a zombie apocalypse. The series is amazing because the characters are so accessible and real, and the problems they face have no easy answers, and you are constantly evaluating what you would do in their shoes and if you'd have the guts to make some of the calls they've made. I love the complexity of it. It's probably the best dramatic character study in recent memory, the fact that it has zombies is really secondary.
