It can be easily extended I reckon too. Tartarus could be a second planet to offer a tech upgrade (Anubis' homeworld).. then you've got Natu, natu could offer a resource or slaves or something like 'fear power'..erm what else? Chulak (improved Jaffa slaves), Abydos (naq mines).

Were there Jaffa before Humans were cultivated? I wonder.

No, the Jaffa are genetically altered by the Goa'uld to serve as incubators as I understand it. This procedure was performed on Dakara also (if I rememeber right). They were originally human I believe.

The goa'uld didn't use unas as jaffa because unas evolved on the same planet as the goa'uld.
The reason the goa'uld have to use humans as jaffa is because when a blend occurs there is like a 45 percent chance of death to the symbiote. When a larva is raised inside a human being it makes the goa'uld have a chance to adapt to a human being.

I think a lot of people will fight over planets just because some planets look kewler then others lol.

Making unique special planets to obtain would seriously increase how hostile alliances are with each other.
