I did make a planet earth but didn't put it in the game. I was thinking maybe after BETA testing take 10 planets from the series and anyone who owns it gets a small bonus. Nothing huge just enough for people to fight over.

Why not make Earth like a planet that you can fight over. You can keep it and it gives good production? Everyone can see it after completing a quest? From there you can attempt to take it. :P Sounds like a plan, if you ask me!

Aside from 6 billion fools, there is nothing special about Terra. Why would you give it a very special status.
Shadowing's idea of introducing a few 'uniques' is sound.

I think back then there were less people on the planet. 6 billion was only reached towards the end of the 20th Century. I may be wring, however.

True. 1000 years before Terra buried its Stargate, means at least 3000 BC, predating the 'invention' of agriculture. According to modern statistics, there were not more than 15 million people at any one time on Terra until the invention of agriculture. :)
So 15 million potential slaves, at best. *grin* Like I said.. nothing special. :P

An excellent idea actually.
You could use Earth to get new host's and symbiotes into the game.. humans are faster than Unas and far more easily manipulated. They also breed faster. Surely that can be something?
You could have Dakara for something to do with tech advancement due to the ancient weapon present (although I suppose that was unknown).. fair enough.. how about Vis Uban? But it's a good train of thought. Would make people far more likely to fight over them.

Oh, now I want my own "Weapon at Dakara" !!
Make something in a game special, and users are automatically drawn to it. Sometimes it's not even because of it's bonuses. It's just for the status "Hey look, I have this!"
If there are planets that are "special" in a way, their owners should be tracked. More fighting = Better game. Better game = More players. :D

You could make taking ownership of these planets (if that is how it works) result in an 'achievement', which can be posted to your Facebook wall.. just saying; "I JUST CONQUERED EARTH in StarGate System Lords" paints a pretty picture for advertising purposes. ;)

I wish I thought of that! One thing I do worry about though, and I'm sorry for dragging this off topic, is "Alerts" SOOO many games say stuff like "Share this with your friends!" "Invite your friends!" "DO this" "HEY! Look at this!"
I wouldn't mind having the feature, just as long as you aren't bombarded with requests and alerts, every time you log in. It deters people, such as myself. :(
That also sounds kinda cool "I CONQUERED EARTH!" - It would certainly get people interested in the game! :D

This is not a Facebook game, so it does not send requests in Facebook. Not really sure why you would think it would. ???
Either way, it is a cheap way of advertising and helps people boast about their gaming prowess.. apparently that is what little boys like these days. ;) Used to be badges in RPG's and such, collector cards, and somesuch. :P
