Curious what everyone thinks about the homepage.<br /><br />There is currently a issue where the word Lords gets broken up and the stargate and &quot;rds&quot; is placed on the next line. Seems to do this to older browsers.

I loved the animation, but it took almost a minute before I was able to &#039;sign up&#039;. That is, before the input fields appeared.<br />You might want to change the order around; or add a &#039;speed up animation&#039; button? :)<br /><br />Right now, while extremely awesome, it might turn people away who do not wait until the end of the animation. :)

People got away from the animation and get blast by a hatak staffweapon fire!! :)<br /><br />i do not speak english very well but i like to thanks to this wonderfull proyect.<br /><br />Please, keep working on it.<br /><br /><br />=D<br /><br /><br />Alechit

I like animation.<br /><br />I did find the sharp distinction between the background image and black background jarring. I think adding a border to the background image or having the edges softly fade into the black background will help.<br /><br />Perhaps putting the text and beta sign-up into &#039;boxes&#039; or transparent tables would help clean it up. Right now it looks a bit disorganised.

On the contrary actually. I think it&#039;s brilliant in a simplistic way. You&#039;ve got your main eye catching centre with straight, defined and visible links to the forums, facebook, how to sign up or log in. Simples. <br /><br />The only qualms I would have are the very slow arrival of the descriptive words and in no place do we have an actual identification as to what this is upon arrival. <br /><br />Even if you added just below the title &#039;An MMO Based on Stargate SG-1&#039;s infamous villains.&#039; One finds that the majority of people tend to wander off if they have to read more than a couple of words...<br /><br />Also, on a completely different side note.. you do have the rights to use all these SG-1 things, right? Like the stargate image, the hatak&#039;s, the single word &#039;stargate&#039;, goa&#039;uld. As I know of another game that had to change its entire make-up to accommodate copyright laws when MGM got onto them.

I like minimalism in UI and design so I agree with you there - lets work on that. I made up an exploratory homepage that is minimal and eyecatching (I hope&nbsp; :P). I have no coding skills and very little photoshopping&nbsp; ability. Here it is:<br /><br /><br />IMAGE:http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3801819/homepage.png<br /><br />The introductory text could appear on the screen as it does now, except it would be much larger and occupy only one &#039;line&#039;. The text would be split into three sections and as each section is &#039;finished&#039; it would disappear and the next section begins. The text could read as:<br /><br />Section I: A strategy game on the most dangerous and powerful force in the galaxy &lt; disappears<br />Section II: YOU &lt; disappears<br />Section III: STARGATE SYSTEM LORDS &lt; remains<br /><br />The text should take no more than 7 seconds to play through.<br /><br />Clicking on any of the galactic &#039;sections&#039; or labels will take you there. The exception would be login/register which just brings up a tab for you to do your stuff.<br /><br />It is both minimal and largely explains itself.<br /><br />edit: formatting issues.

If it ever came down to where im forced to change anything it wont be to big of a deal. Stargate System Lords will become System Lords. Copyright laws on pictures has to do with how much of a picture was used. Most of System Lords Art is created from scratch. Even the Mother ships on the home page was put together. The Death glider at the end of the animation is the only real single piece of art as a whole that was used. That and my advertising picture ive been using lol. If i have to i&#039;ll just draw one from scratch :)
