PS: Will there be other races who were around the same time as the Goa'uld were gaining power, like Asguard, Re'tu, Unas, etc., in the game as well, or only the Goa'uld?

I have extermely high standards for my self and for the game. I spent 16 hours a day for the last year creating this game and will continue to do so. No joke there. Here is some game spoilers for people who read this thread and I left some more in the Suggestions topic. The Galaxy is a real scaled galaxy. To travel from one side of the galaxy to the other with low hyper drive technology can take a month or more. according to the amount of players in the game. The galaxy grows according to the player population. Real Star formations are in the game. Every sector of the map has 15 stars and as you flip through each sector the star patterns change so its pretty kewl and realistic.
I built a real stargate network. Every planet has 6 chevrons and when attacking a planet it puts the planet you are attacking from as the 7th chevron using real stargate symbols. There is only one planet to every solar system that is usable. I did this so the game is less complicated and easier for players to navigate through out the game. You are allowed to bury and unbury your stargate but at great cost. Since instant trade between your planets will be effected cause other wise you will be forced to use cargo ships which would take way longer. With high hyper drive technology short distance between stars can be only a minute in travel though.
I will be releasing more game information next week and more as time progresses.

You can only be Goa'uld in the game. Unas used to be a unit that you could train but was taken out of the game due to no real need for it. Since it would be impossible for a goa'uld to fight complete with the power of the Asgard in that time period. Asgard couldnt be added. Although who knows what the future of the game will hold.

I am so excited about the possibility of playing this game! It sounds wonderful and I would love to see some screenshots of what the UI will look like. Anyhow, sounds like you are doing a great job and there is certainly a lot of anticipation about this game. I am curious about the Furlings still. It never really says in SG-1 where they are from or really even what they were like, but they would have been around during this time and maybe as a Goa'old when first meeting the Furlings we could try to take them as hosts and that could be a way that the technology advances. Then maybe they extract us but won't kill us because they are so benevolent (like the Tolan or Nox) and we end up blending with a human later. Would be a good way to show tech advancement with the Goa'old. ;)
