Mechanics: Build/Destroy Resource Returns

I found much to my dismay, if you spend resources and commence building of structures, then decide you don't want them before they are even built, then if you "destroy" the as yet un-built structures (to reclaim resources as yet technically unused) you do not get ANY resources back, not even the diminished returns of destroying built structures, nothing.


Browser: Chrome latest version.
Other Actions: some en-route ships but not actively doing anything else.
