As we all know since I inserted the game with races all races still share goa'uld unit names.
Been thinking on this for a while but now I'm thinking maybe they shouldn't have different names. It may just make the game really confusing. So instead maybe just give all units a standard name.
Let me know what everyone thoughts are on this.

Most of the names are pretty general anyway. The only one that I think should be changed is the jaffa. Maybe change simply to soldiers.

I agree with it being good now. The buildings are confusing enough. The names they have now are pretty good in my opinion too. You could change 'glider' to 'fighter' I suppose.

I like the idea, but the challenge is the various units don't apply to all races.
Asgard don't use slaves nor jaffa. They use mother ships but not bombers.
It would also be nice to vary the skills. For example, Goa'uld Infiltration is done by taking a host and integrating into the target planet population. Asgard "infiltrate" through technology and invisibility.
The above examples apply to the various races. As far as I know, Onac's don't have ships and would never infiltrate at all. They don't have the ability to integrate or the technology. The can hide a bit, but that's it.

Onac are unas with goa'ulds inside them Excellion
They are actually mixed. They are a group of goa'uld that still use unas as host but also use humans too.
Ya I'll be changing a few building names to so it fit all races.
But ya mother ship and bomber would stay the same.
I guess glider to fighter and ground unit to idk yet. soldier or something.

Makes perfect sense about Onacs. I clearly remember the Unas episode with The First One.
There were planets whose inhabitants worshiped the Asgard as gods, so they may call them "worshipers" instead of slaves?

Just change the name for slaves to workers. And I think that Jaffa is just fine name for the Goa'uld. I don't understand how heaving different names for ground units are going to make things confusing..
Goa'uld and onac have jaffa, you can't take that away.

onac wouldn't have Jaffa. Since Jaffa were created to serve as incubators so the blending process has a higher chance of success with humans. Course Onac are suppose to be a mix of both. ehh
But ya slaves will be changed out to population.
And ya if someone attacks you with asgard units with some name you don't recognize new players are going to be like what?

Gouald is good enough as is.
Onac, Shocktroop, Gatethreader, same, same. Everything else the same.
Furling, Furballs(i'm kidding) but Soldiers, jet or something, bomber(not al'kesh) Battle cruiser(ms) and flagship could stay the same or be renamed to Dreadnaught. I don't know if they use slaves or w/e you made this much up, keep it coming.
Asgard Warriors(jaffa) Valkyries(dg c'mon this is easy) Berserkers(bombers) Mjolniir(MS) and flagships could be renamed Gungnir. slaves would be renamed to worshippers, and agents would still work.
Anybody who doesn't know these legendary names deserves to be confused.
Am I forgetting anything.... nope. okay then, there ya go.

Quidproquo did his Research. I was thinking about what he said too. Using Viking mythology for ship names. Although I did not post it. I think that would be the best idea for Asgard.
