I would love to do that too, but sadly, Joel Goldsmith passed away just toward the end of April. RIP Joel.

SGU was awesome and had so much potential to be even better. If they had given it a decent ending it might have been my favorite SG series except for early SG-1

It did have potential. They shouldn't have cancelled it. If you're a true SG fan, you wouldn't care whether it was good or not. :)

I'd support that idea but then again a lot of stargate fans were alienated by the change in tone and the fact they stopped season 6 of Atlantis to give SGU two seasons. So many people boycotted SGU before it got a chance simply because of that it was unreal.

Hey, maybe if we get enough people playing this game, it might encourage MGM and the other producers to start one of the franchises up again, which I hope, if they do, is SG-U. Atlantis was better, but I think where it ended is good.

I am a HUGE fan!! I remember watching the movie Stargate the first time and thinking, "Man, this would make a great series." My favorite character is Jack O'Neill followed by Dr. Daniel Jackson. I like all of them mind you, but the interplay between Jack and Daniel was always awesome. I also loved Atlantis. Like someone said earlier, it was like a re imagining of our favorite characters in different situations. However, while I liked Ronan, I liked Teal'c more. ;) I guess as an old martial artist, I can relate to Teal'c more then Ronan. As far as SG-U is concerned...well...I tried to watch it when it first came out, but got very dis-interested due to its lack of focus on anything other then the people. Essentially, they cancelled SG-1 and SG-A and Battlestar Gallactica at the same time and decided that sense those three were all high rated shows, they would try to combine them into SG-U. That way they would have the space drama of battlestar with the gate concept of Stargate. The problem is that Stargate fans didn't really care for space drama and battlestar fans didn't really care for the action and tech of stargate. As a result, they created a show that nearly nobody liked. sheesh. I lost interest in SG-U when I watched four episodes in a row where they didn't even show the stargate. How could they make an episode of Stargate anything without even showing the stargate? Just seemed to crazy to me and I didn't care for all the drama to begin with.

Also, SG1 succeeded because it had a lot of relation to norse mythology. Which was a key aspect in its overall effort. Though I have to admit, I didn't like the ori.

First I watched SGA than SG-1 and than SGA again and I am a proud owner of all Stargate episodes except SGU. I think SGU started quite promising but that dark atmosphere and those typical soap opera problems were very annoying after a while. So I stopped watching it during the second season.
But for me Stargate is the best tv-series ever and I could watch i over and over again!!! :-D
