Updating Status

I am currently sieging a planet but my status does not seem to be going up so I am wondering what I have done wrong or what else I need to do.

My current status level is "Dreadful" and the planet I am sieging is level "Derision"; according to the guide as this planet is 1 status level below me my status should increase by 1 point every cycle.

I have left my army on the planet for a while now and my status does not seem to be improving so was wondering whether there is something else I need to do other than just waiting for my status to start improving?

Hopefully it will be reactivated soon...no idea why he disabled it.

If I understood, now to gain status we will to kill troops, but it's currently offline.
