Taking over planet with advanced buildings

This was referred to in an earlier post, but the answer was unclear to me. If I purchase an advanced building and someone takes that planet away from me do I lose the building? Does the advanced building remain with the planet's new owner?

if im correct then yes the building stays on the planet or so i have read.
