Typed up a rough draft of what is to be expected. Players will be able to switch stances every 5 days. I think defensive stance needs more negatives though

Defensive

+35% over all defense
+50% defense on agent strength
-25% weapons
-50% ship speed
Can't gain status


Aggressive

20% faster ships and verse space mines
+15% obviation and salvage
Gain +1 status per cycle when sieging
-25% armor/shields
-50 intel defense


Production

+35% naqahdah production
+30% homes effecitveness
-30% building cost
-20% obviation and salvage
-40% turret and war satellite effectiveness



Normal

No advantage or disadvantage

I like this idea. I like that you can change it every 5 days. The %'s seem okay to me as well.

like the idea of stances but maybe have it this way

Normal stance: no changes

Production: same as shadowinigs but instead of -40% turrets and war sats have it to -40% agent strength.

Intelligents: +50 intel defense
50% agents effectiveness
50% agent strength
-25% weapons/shields
-25% ships speed
-30% naq production

Military Stance: 50% increase in max military cap
35% defense on all your planets turrets
30% weapons/shields
25% faster ships versus mines
20% obviation and salvage
-15% naq production
-10% agent effectiveness
increase in cost of military units eg (MS is 17k change it to 25k)

not to sure with some of them or if they would work but let us now!!

Positives

+35% over all defense

-45% weapons
-50% ship speed
Can't gain status


Aggressive

Positives

30% faster ships and verse space mines
+25% obviation and salvage
Can attack status +/- 2 levels above or below
+ 25% armor/shields
+ 20% intel defense
20 % less spy drone and endurance loss per mission
+ 10% weapons

Negatives
-50% production
-45% homes
-40% turret and war satellite effectiveness


Production--------This means that all your effort is concentrated into production. Therefore this stance should be -ve in attack and slightly negative on defence. more risk for production

Positives
+50% naqahdah production
+40% homes effectiveness
Faster cargo ships

Negatives
-30% turret and war satellite effectiveness
-25% armor/shields
-50% Weapons

i like most of this but i can't help but think the -20% obviation and salvage is a bit counter intutive as if a society is based on production they wouldn't let anything go to waste. maybe increasing the agent or unit cost because they want to be paided more

I think scurvydog's idea has merit.

Sounds great to me but the only problem I can see is that anyone who changes to production would become a naq farm
