How will the new race thing work out

Roughly how will the new race thing work out? will we keep our planets and buildings and it transfers over to the new race?

Ya you will get to choose your race and you won't lose anything no worries. Each race will have their own advantages and disadvantages.

What if we choose one of the four new races and then down the line a fifth race is added ... will we be able to switch again?
