maybe there should be special planets around that give certain bonuses to it's owners!(extra income, faster slave production, additional attack or defense)

Abydos - extra income and slave production
Cartago - extra slaves
Cimmeria - extra gate defense that doesn't count towards building max
Delmak - extra slave camps that don't count towards building max
Dakara - extra def or att, maybe even weapon that can be used daily to eliminate partial pop or military on targeted planet
