THis migth even the playing field new player vs old player. and it migth work well enough so that new players dont need a week worth of protection and maybee the intel lab dont need to be worthless in its old condition.
let new players discover, invent, steal or get a "ancient device"
that increases the new guys naq, res production. inreases there militery forces attack power, slave production, intel gathering. and everything else
that due to the offcourse limited power on the device only works for let say 2 weeks? and then they got two weeks to build up and be ready for a world filled with goaulds.
