Supreme beings would send bombs through Stargates to reach their goals? Been admiring your Goa'uld in the mirror too long, have you? ;)
Supreme beings would not have had the issue of the Wraith waging war on them. *grin*

Supreme beings do get messed up by less supreme beings at times, simply because those less supreme beings are more adept at being gigantic failures. Being a failure is, unfortunately, sometimes rather useful. ;) Compare the Asgard and Sam Carter.

I'm sure they said in the last episode of Atlantis that all X304's had been upgraded with the asgard stuff. The only thing the Odyssey has on the others is stealth tech.

BC304, by that time, Semper. ;) Granted, the stealth is a pretty good bonus.

Ah, my bad. BC304. However.. ultimately I would love to have seen them implement the wormhole drive on a broader scale. I'm almost certain that would have eventually been the salvation of the Destiny crew once they found a way to power Atlantis long enough to get there (where are three ZPM's when you need them?)

The Orion is definitively my most fav ship :D
Anything ancient I can't stand but just love it!

First of all I have to agree with Rumo about that thing with the superhive.
And @ Lost One: what is the benefit of being a supreme being when you always lose? Well, you can ascend and live with the knowledge you could do almost everything to change the galaxy to the best but you are not allowed to do it. Bad idea. ;-)
And of course ancient ships are so brilliant albeit they are asymmetric (I don't like that normally). But the best thing about those ships are the drones!!! So why have the BC-304s never been upgraded with some drones??? And please don't answer they didn't have enough. :-)

Agreed. They do have a very limited numbers of drones. By the time they had split the ones they had left between the ancient defense chair, atlantis, ~20 puddle jumpers and the five (seven) earth ships (Sun Tsu, Apollo, Daedalus, Odyssey and General Hammond ((and the planned British (Nelson/Victory) and French ships (de Gaulle)))) and given them enough to actually be a threat I doubt they would have had enough to fulfill the goals. Not like they need it with the asgard weapons anyway. They've got near the power of drones even if they don't have the precision.
I am sure McKay and Carter would have eventually figured out how to re-produce drones. They know the testing grounds where the ancients first developed them, have access to the ancient database from Atlantis and the full ancient archives from the asgard AND all the asgard and goa'uld knowledge. It's doable. XD

If they had try to do it they would have been successful, I am pretty sure. Teal'c could have said after Unending that the Asgard beaming technologie can also be used to create probably almost everything. then they could have produced drones in heaps.
Ok, the Asgard weapons are cool but the drones are much more evective against the wraith I think (why else should the ancients have built them?) because they are able to avoid the darts. Moreover I think they look much better than the Asgard weapons which can penetrate shields very easily (of course they do) but I am not sure whether it is in the series what happens when drones are used against shields.

However the Tauri did not use most of their potential in building super weapons or other technology. But if they had done, it would have been kind of boring because they could have defeated the Goa'uld, the Replicators and the Ori much too fast, so we have to be satisfied with the technology the Tauri had (besides it worked anyways that way). ;-)

Yes the early seasons are fun because the situations always seem to be more dangerous. But I think the cool technologies (for example the ships (yes, there is the connection to the topic again)) more than compensate this exciting feeling of danger at the beginning. That goas for SG-1 and alike for SGA. New technologies open doors for many more possibilities. :-)
