I think this is a bit useless.
First as alliance, none has found to way to declare a war to another player or alliance.
As single player, you see just war against the other and you, a bit useless.
If the systems of other players were in red, it could be usefull but...

Yes, no purpose for war declaration at this point. Turning enemy systems red, maybe a different colored triangle for their fleets would be cool, but probably over powered.
