will you be adding A.I. gould sysytem lords to the game like anubis,lord yu,sokar,apophis ect.?  then we have can go up against the  system lords from the series . make like 25 of them each with a powerful domain of planetary systems and sprinkle them through out the galaxy.  make it so they attack players that have reached a certain power level to keep the higher level players on their toes.

I prefer no reset, because if there would be a reset all you build up and spend your time on is just gone. ...and that feels like crap
But there still should be limits, because you can't have 5000 Jaffa from a plant where just 4000 people live. Nature gives us the limits. So I think there should be a maximum population for every planet, but like a real system lord you should be able to get as many planets as you want. If one grows to big, he will be stopped anyway (by me  8) ).

I am of the same opinion. Some limits should exist and I think your suggestions are worth to think about them. I hope the game will be as much fun as being in this forum is already.

I like the idea of some A.I. system lords from the series being added to the game. That could provide many tactical decisions as to who to attack - a player like yourself, or ally up with the said player to take on an A.I. system lord and "inherit" their empires. These A.I. system lords would have to have big battles between themselves too, so that they weaken each-other now and then, but their relative strength compared to real players should always stay the same (for instance Anubis and Ba'al, the strongest system lords in the series, with Anubis being on top), should have like strength of 10 average players, perhaps Ba'al of 9, while the some less powerful system lords, like Nirrti I believe, should have only the strength of 3 average players. They'd also combine their strengths from time to time to attack the one who poses the biggest threat to them (like they have in the series) - the biggest player. It should add excitement to the game.

With the destruction, or banishment, of one of these A.I. system lords, while you'd get their planets and resources, most of their army (like 70%) would go to the A.I. system lord that was the biggest enemy, and had the most battles, with the defeated A.I. system lord. That way they'd always be strong and present in the galaxy.

Perhaps even the A.I. system lords couldn't be killed, but would run to hide with another A.I. system lord, and would slowly be gathering forces to rebel against that A.I. system lord and make their own empire again? So we wouldn't have to think of 25 new A.I. system lords every few months once they'd all be defeated, but they'd always stay in the game and would continue to threaten each and every player.

By them threatening top players more - that would mean the newer players would be able to catch up, with hard work of course, because the game would regulate itself. No need for extra regulation.

Then you could add that, for instance, if you completely destroy an empire of A.I. system lord that you have 50% chance of catching that A.I. system lord which would get you some technological breakthroughs, while it'd also pose a threat that the A.I. system lord will, eventually, gather enough of your troops on his/her side and rebel against you. If you wanted to catch the A.I. system lord that would also mean that, as you'd have to completely destroy his/her empire, you'd catch fewer troops, weapons, naquadah mines, etc., as you'd have to destroy a huge percentage of said items.

Nope because friendships will always be in the way of completely destroying someone. These games have their biggest strengths built in communities surrounding them, not in the codes themselves.

So the only way to regulate the game, to really regulate it, without any admin interference is something like this. This will also ensure that each and every player has to fear something, no matter their alliance and friends. That way no one can be safe, or everyone can be equally safe, depends on how you take it.

There have been far too many games where alliance ties made the biggest accounts untouchable. This would make sure that no matter who your friends are - you can still be destroyed (of course the A.I. system lords shouldn't be able to completely destroy you, but enough to make a difference :) )

It's not untouchable per-se, but there have been many games I played in which the ones that had the most power were basically untouchable. You could always destroy them, given that you had enough resources, however that meant that your account will be devastated time and time again by the one you destroyed and their friends.
Lots of new players quit due to this. So while you could destroy someone - the top accounts were almost always allied. And they didn't allow a "nobody" to destroy one of them.
The A.I. system lords would act as true system lords in this aspect and wouldn't be threatened by the friends of most powerful account.

To allow only 1on1-fights would limit the possibilities of playing too much and it will strengthen the powerful players instead of helping the less powerful ones. I don't think it is an good idea, too.

I think every Player will be a System Lord. That is why it is called System Lords.

Ok now i see what you mean. I think there should be some Protection (maybe called cloak or just time of ignorance by the more powerful Goa'uld) for New Players until a certain point but just to allow 1on1 battles is the wring way.

1v1 battle for a certain period of time isn't the answer. What happens if a newbie beats a strong account with many allies, and that in some cases might be the only way to catch someone - to destroy them first? Those allies would just come after the newbie as soon as the battle was over and sit on the newbie to show that people can't 'mess with them'. That's why the A.I. sort of system lords who would regulate the huge differences which will happen between oldest accounts and newer accounts would work so fine - they wouldn't really fear any retaliation - they'd just destroy the one who's the biggest threat to them and everyone would take and accept it as part of the game.

Honestly I think it'd add a lot of thrill and strategy to the game and it would regulate the game constantly without any outside interference which is always a good thing in games with no real limits or resets as some sort of regulations eventually have to be made. It's best to have them from the start.

There is little bonus's from attacking smaller players. To excel in the game you will need to pretty much attack players your own size or larger. Also the more larger the player is the more planets he has to defend.
