Slave stance

I was just thinking that once people are built up and slaves maxed they aren't really all that useful. If we could have other uses for slaves it could be neat. My idea is that we could set slaves in different stances.


Defensive stance - they provide a boost for defense, but in this stance obviously when attacked slaves would die. Also if there defending you no longer get a boost to income.

Hard labor - Boosts income, but slaves would be worked to death.

Free nation - increases population growth, or it could add to the planets population limit. But you no longer receive income.

No stance - everything stays the same no negative or positives

Use the slave to speed up the mothership/flagship recovery. LOL

I like the idea of finding other uses for slaves.

On Abydos, slaves generate naq which is important. Interesting idea tying in slave benefits with stance.

On Chulak, there is a definite need to find a use for slaves.

Slaves are not at all useless. If you actually play the game you should be burning through them almost as fast as you can steal them.

Shadowing is working hard to make the game more active: the new salvage box forces you to spend your salvage, the depot limit being 1 million stopping people from hording naq and forces you to actually use it to play the game... Slaves are the exact same; encouraging people to sit around with max slaves and not use them is going to slow down game play even more than it already is. The point is to spend your slaves, not to build them. This is Systemlords, not Farmville.

I completely agree with Voldy here. This would be a terrible thing to slow everything down more.
