Would stargate make it today?

Typical shows of today.

Very fast paced, as if made to explode out of your screen. Seems to be made to focus on people with ADHD. I dont mean that to be a joke or rude. Typical shows today are action packed with very little talking.


Look at an episode like A hundred days. More then half of that epi is pure dialogue. Im not saying that that is a bad thing. I love that epi for what it is.

Im asking, would an epi like that make it in todays TV. Shows today are very ratings reliant and if they are not instant hits they are left in the dust.

I imagine a epi like a hundred days to be hated. Not enough action in a sci fy show. To boring. Hes carring a gun but not shooting anything please do something stop talking and kill something!

I just dont think people would have the patience to see SG-1 fo what it really truly is today.

maybe not SG1 but I think alantis was would make it

The only episode of stargate I really didn't like was Wormhole Extreme. It was just stupid in my opinion. Other than that, I enjoyed every episode of SG1, Atlantis and SGU.

Sure people want more action and faster, but if One Hundred Days was released as a new episode today, I believe its ratings would be comparable to the original release. It still has all the same attractions:

- a group of men / women living in perfect health
- everyone waking up together and sleeping together
- hassak
- party every day
- the sci-fi of the aging process

It's cool and entertaining. Add to that the "wedding cake" drugging and the exchange between Carter and Oneill when he woke up, it's a great episode.

I am still watching season 7! Just started actually. So far it looks good, meaning it has Heather Graham in it.

Wormhole extreme was stupid

100 days is one of my favorite episodes. That and red sky
