As most players are aware, Invincible fought an ally war against Immortals. The war ended today when Hadrian, the leader of Immortals, reset himself. There are two important remaining items. In order to discuss them, a brief recap of the war is necessary.
1. We began the war because we found their play style to be offensive. They griefed players, blackmailed them and threatened them with reset. We could not stand back and watch it happen when we had the power to do something about it. We don't ask anyone to agree, but that was the reasoning behind the war.
2. They approached us requesting a break from the war. We granted them a few days off while we discussed the topic. They used that time to immediately begin griefing other players. Accordingly, we decided to ramp up our efforts and continue the war.
3. During the war, numerous other players and allies offered to help. We wanted to keep it a clean 1v1 so we declined all offers and requested no one else get involved.
4. This war was unconventional due to the presence of Zerotee aka Myrddin. When Zerotee first started on the server, he promptly raised his networth to 280k. The math is basic. In order to reach that level he had to spend over $500 in naq buys considering the amount of jaffa / warsats / etc. After his first ally, PE, was defeated he reset himself. $500 gone.
He came back as Myrddin and promptly shot up to 744k nw. $300 buys 3 mill naq on Chulak which, if spent as efficiently as possible, would be 200k nw. His nw represented over $1000. Furthermore, his spending was not close to maximum efficiency. He had 2.5 million jaffa = 7.5 mill naq = $750 alone, yet only 250k nw. To summarize, Myrddin has spent approximately $2,000 on Chulak.
Myrddin has stated himself he gets no enjoyment from the game and that his sole purpose is to grief other players. These were his words in galaxy chat. I wish to be very clear here. Our ally has been preparing to finish this fight with Zerotee for over a month. We will continue that fight. He left Immortals today. Should any ally chose to take him in, that is fine, but also understand we will consider such action as an immediate act of war. It's OK, this is a video game. After PE disbanded on Abydos, some allies took in former PE members. That will not be permitted on Chulak with Zerotee.
5. Status of the former Immortal players are:
a. MacTwister. He was the first casualty. We took his SS and all but 5 planets. We left him with his warsat and his entire fleet. He chose to reset himself.
b. Taren. A message was sent to Taren today informing him we have no further grievance with him. We only ask he leave Immortals and allow the ally name to disappear.
c. Shroud. A message was sent to Shroud today informing him we have no further issue with him beyond taking his space stations. We have war losses and those stations will partly recoup some of those losses. If he continues playing after his vacation, we intend to take his stations. If anyone else manages to take any of those stations, we will continue pursuing them.
d. Hadrian. He chose to reset himself today.
e. Locutus. He moved to Warlords ally. We have spoken with him and all outstanding issues have been resolved.
f. Myrddin. As stated above, we are making final adjustments to deal with him. We are patient and will do so on our own time table. In the meantime, we are happy his networth is high enough that it places him out of reach of harming other players.
Dealing with Myrddin is a challenging proposition. He has the highest nw on the server and it is artificially low. It was 750k and he dropped it 250k by intentionally crashing 250k nw of fleet and using obviation the losses (millions of naq) went into his depot. Furthermore, he has been generating naq from his planets for the past 2 months without needing to spend any. He clearly has millions in his depot, millions on his planets, and the willingness to spend thousands of dollars to further his goals. Again, there are no complaints here other than wanting to clarify our work is challenging. We ask that no one suggests our fight is unfair on any level. We fought a very clean 1 ally vs 1 ally war and we will continue it against Zerotee until the end.
Invincible successfully fought for and helped end the tyranny and bs on Abyddos, and the server has been the better for it these past couple months. Please allow us to finish the task her on Chulak without interference. We are at the end of October and expect the task to be completed in November.
