Viewing damaged ships

Would be nice after attacking and losing, and after several rounds of sabotaging ships, if we could have a way to see what amount of damage we have done to an enemies ships. Maybe a 'survey ships' mission, or a 'detailed scan' for twice the cost. Perhaps both.
